It has happened ! I sold my apartment !

Yes ! It happened on Friday. My counter-offer was accepted so I've finally managed to sell the place. Of course the loans have to be approved, but let's hope that happens without a glitz ! Me very very happy ! But dreading the actual moving buisness. HELP !

A little more...

More pics from last weekend !

Eyrún being cute today :-)

Baby Eyrún staying for the weekend :-)

My friend Sif entrusted me with her baby daughter for the weekend (I know, she must have been drunk !). She is having a good time in Copenhagen with friends. She is my goddaughter, her name is Eyrún and she is five months old :-) Things have been going just fine, she is happy if she gets her bottle, loads of attention and entertainment. I want a little baby of my own !

Heavenly trip to Akranes

Today I visited my friend Gurrí that lives in Akranes, in a nice place she calls Heaven. Steingrímur Páll, Hilda and Steingerður came along, also Helen (although briefly, she was visiting another friend). We brought some cakes and Gurrí provided the drinks :-) Her friend Guðrún popped in and we had a good time discussing things while enjoying the refreshments. Yummy :-) The resident cats, Tommi and Kubbur were really warm and welcoming, much to Hilda's pleasure :-) Steingrímur examined the place and also got some cake and Kókómjólk :-) Then we went to a new café in town and had more cakes and coffee :-) We headed home around six after a great day. Thank you Gurrí, for letting us into Heaven. (Me and Steingerður never expected to end up in Heaven..)

Some pictures :-)

Three beautiful siblings :-) Guðlaug turned 14 on the 7th of February. Happy birthday !!!!

Another week has passed and I'm still alive

So, what have I've been up too ? Monday night it was game club night. My friend Silla was finally able to join us. We had a great time and we didn't play Carcassone.... AMAZING ! My poor Hilda called me on Tuesday. She had just caught the flu and was feeling awful. She was on TV Tuesday night, she took part in a school competition called Skólahreysti (School fitness). Her school did ok, it was fun to see her on TV :-) She was staying at her father's place, but when I picked her up Wednesday she was really miserable with a fever of 40°C. Poor baby ! So she was pampered, of course :-) Chocolate and sodas :D Thursday night I got in touch with my inner gypsy and and told my sister's fortune, using runes and tarot cards. They are mostly going to be ok.. some problems ahead though. Oh and we played one game of Scrabble and I won. I WON !! Woohooo ! Tonight a little gentleman called Steingrímur is sleeping here beside me. We have an action packed weekend ahead of us, check for more updates... if I can make blogger work (it has refused to post my blogs for a week now!

A little trip to Hvolsvöllur and an explosion in the kitchen

The past few days have been rough, my legs are killing me. So I must admit that I wasn't in the mood to drive when I had to go to Hvolsvöllur today to pick up Hilda and a couple of other kids. They were there in a training camp in athletics. When I started the trip I was feeling rather gloomy, but as it turned out, it was quite fun to drive through a winter wonderland for 1 1/2 hours. Hilda and the two girls that came with us were in high spirits at first but soon grew rather quiet... they fell asleep, small wonder as the had been training all day :-) Well, I decided to treat myself by buying barbeque ribs for dinner. I put them in the oven in a deep ovenware dish and after the due time took it out and put the ribs on my plate. I then put the ovenware dish in the kitchen sink where it exploded the second I put it down ! Pang ! Glass flew everywhere ! I just stood there, stunned. Ok, I would have understood it if I had put the dish down in cold water or something, but the sink was dry. Anyways. My vacum cleaner died last Saturday so I had to sweep the floor and pick up all the shards in the sink by hand. I put them all in a cardboard box. As I turned to get tape to seal it, I lost hold of it and dropped it on the floor. GREAT ! And I cut my toe while picking up all the pieces again ! Sigh. At least I got to enjoy the beautiful scenery today.
