Hilda got the four gold medals she won at the All school tournament in October presented to her at a small ceremony at her school earlier this month. Been sick as a dog but now back with a vengence

Sunday night I began to feel a bit weird... sort of like the dinner didn't quite agree with me... A 02:00 in the night I started vomiting my innards. I continued doing that for 12 hours - and no, I couldn't sleep very much. BLAHH ! I was sick at home Monday and Tuesday, then got back to work on Wednesday. The really fun part was when poor Hilda started puking Tuesday night. And today she was STILL sick. My darling girl ! Anyways, it was fortunate that I had gotten well because on Wednesday Steingrímur Páll came to stay with me while his parents are in Prague. Thursday night I took him for a visit to Sif and her daughters where we had some lovely dinner. Mmmmm, yummy, must remember to get the recipe. Today we visted Svanhildur and the boys. So, the new refreshed me has been busy :-) Still more to come... stay tuned !

I'm back once more ! PC was being repaired :-)

Hullooo ! My absence from blogland was due to my PC's 2 week retreat at a health clinic where it regained it´s strength and got ready to serve me again :-) During the two weeks of silence I have mostly behaved (you can never prove anything, I got rid of the evidence !) and stayed on the straight and narrow path. Wine tasting at work, meditation course and a birthday party for Júlíana and Matti (Happy birthday again you guys !) are some of the things I've been up to. Last Saturday night I offered to babysit for my sister, ain't I nice ? Actually, babysitting my two nephews is a great prize for me :-) My mother did the job with me and we stayed at her place, something the boys really really liked. Staying with grandma is rather popular :-) Óli got to do the dishes and Steinar did a bit of gardening (shovelling dirt from flower pots with his hands). When the parents returned to pick them up, Óli pretended to fall asleep on the sofa so he could stay at grandma's place. It took a while to persuade him to go home :-) I must do this again soon, the two little tykes are irresistible !

Love making: tips for seniors

1. Put on your glasses. Double check that your partner is actually in bed with you.
2. Set timer for three minutes, in case you doze off in the middle.
3. Set the mood with lighting. Turn them ALL OFF!
4. Make sure you put 911 on your speed dial before you begin.
5. Write partner's name on your hand in case you can't remember it.
6. Keep extra polygrip close by so your teeth don't end up under the bed or between the thighs.
7. Have Tylenol Body Ache ready in case you actually complete the act.
8. Make all the noise you want. The neighbors are deaf too.
9. If it works, call everyone you know with the good news.
10. Don't even think about trying it twice.
