Yet another test... how am I going to die ;-)

Death through freak supernatural incident

You are going to die in a freak vampire/werewolf incident. I would start carrying garlic and silver bullets if I were you. There is something weird about your demeanor, and evil is attracted to you. Plus you may be a little attracted to evil too.

MERRY CHRISTMAS !!! HO! HO! HO!

Well, yet another lovely Christmas has passed, with food, presents and family gatherings. Mmmmm, fooooood ! This year we spent Christmas at my sister's Svanhildurs place. This is the first time I celebrate Christmas anywhere else than at Bólstaðarhlíð 66 ! Dinner was great, the homemade ice cream a la mamma was as always irresistable and my little nephews added a fun element to the whole thing :) I got a lot of nice prezzies; books, games, pictures and pyjamas bottom amongst other things. My darling Hilda was staying with me this Christmas, me and her father alternate holidays that we have her. She will be at his place on New Years Eve. She gave me lovely slippers, rainbow coloured, and a picture she made herself at school. Coolness ! Relaxing is now the key word, am reading books and eating way too much. Much to my dismay I have now caught a horrible cold that is making my life miserable, but I refuse to let it ruin my chill factor. But I have a fever and I cough like crazy. Stay away !

A very sweet phone call :-)

At 9:22 this morning my phone rang, much to my surprise. People usually never call me in the morning, for a very good reason since I am very grumpy in the wee hours (yes, I consider 9:22 very early). But since Steingrímur is staying with me I was already up. I saw on the display that it was my friend Sif's number. Ah, no surprise, she knew I had the boy and had to be up. So I answered with a cheerful (yet very sexy) hello. Only the answer I got was pure gibberish, delivered in a sweet little voice :-) Then I realized I was talking to Arna Ösp, Sif's one year old daughter :-) Sif called me late last night so she must have hit the redial button. The conversation was interesting, she talked in her special klingon/chinese/esperanto language and I asked her about stuff like when did you get up and have you had breakfast. There were also a few silences, where all I could hear was breathing :-) Then the call was abrubtly ended, and I was left sitting in the sofa with a big smile on my face :-) This really made my morning :-)

Clooney relaxing in February 2005 Posted by Picasa

My sweet Clooney, 2. May 2002 - 14. December 2005

When I came home from work today I found my darling guinea pig, Mr. George Clooney, dead in his cage :-( GREAT SORROW ! Clooney was a very sweet little piggie, that loved to cuddle and to eat (constantly). This morning he didn't come rushing out to get his food as usually, so I checked on him, but although he was unusually calm I couldn't see anything serious wrong. My poor Clooney :-( He will be sorely missed. Snuff.

The shortest fairy tale :-)

Once upon a time, a girl asked a guy "Will you marry me?" The guy said, "No." And the girl lived
happily ever after and went shopping, dancing, dining, drank martinis, always had a clean house, never had to cook and farted whenever she wanted.

The end.

Hilda, my Champion :-)

On Saturday, Hilda participatied in an athletics competition in the new atletichs hall, Laugardalshöllin. She did exceptionally well (proud mum beaming). She got the gold for high jump, and silver for 800m, long jump and shot (kúluvarp). She improved her results in most events, she was really amazing. Go Hilda go :-)

Babysitting Arna Ösp :-)

On Friday, my friend Sif and her boyfriend went to London. And left their daughter in my care (silly buggers!). There was some misunderstanding about the time I was supposed to pick her up, but I finally got there and was given a very sceptical baby that was at first NOT thrilled to see me. But it only took walking to the car to make her happy again. She was really happy when we picked up Hilda, she likes her a lot. When we came home the little lady started to examine the house. She followed the rabbit around, stole the water bottle from the guinea pig, admired the flowers on my november catctus and played with all the new toys she could find. Since she fell asleep in my car for 15 minutes after I picked her up, she was not in the mood to fall asleep at all. She finally gave up at 22:40 ! Next morning she woke up at 8:20, and she slept without waking all night :-) Easy baby! After she finished her after-lunch nap, we visited my sister Svanhildur. She was not very happy there at first, was a little afraid of all the people. Then she found herself a chair fit for a princess, and sat there with a book. She was actually not in the mood to leave when it came to that :-) We finished the day by going to Kringlan, where she enjoyed looking at the christmas lights. Then we took her to her grandparents that were eagerly awaiting her arrival. We left her in good hands, she is probably being spoiled this very second :-)

A quiz on my theological worldview...

You scored as Emergent/Postmodern. You are Emergent/Postmodern in your theology. You feel alienated from older forms of church, you don't think they connect to modern culture very well. No one knows the whole truth about God, and we have much to learn from each other, and so learning takes place in dialogue. Evangelism should take place in relationships rather than through crusades and altar-calls. People are interested in spirituality and want to ask questions, so the church should help them to do this.
