Another nice weekend is over :-)

A really nice weekend is over. Steingrímur was staying here with me and Hilda. On Saturday we went to Lake Kleifarvatn with my sister Steinka and my niece Guðlaug. We were looking for purple saxifrage, a plant known as winterflower in icelandic. It is the first flowering plant to bloom here and is one of the sure heralds of spring, the other being the Golden Plover. So, now I've seen both - winterflowers and the plover (lóa). Freyja the dog was with us and refused to go back into the car :-) In the evening me and Hilda made pizza, it was delicious ! Sunday we visited the family in Mávahlíð. Óli and Steinar were in a good mood as always. Cutiepies !! Then we went home and made another pizza !! Yes, we do like pizza, ehe ! But now it's time to call it a night, am posting some pictures above.

Update

Last weekend we had our annual ball at work. It was great fun, I even danced a little and luckily my legs didn't hurt too much in the morning. I played board games with Júlíana on Sunday and Monday evening I picked up my friend Cindy at the airport and she stayed overnight because she was going on a course today. We chatted and ate ice cream, very nice :-) Next event is going to Eva Karen's birthday party. She is Júlíana's daughter, sister to my darling Steingrímur. The party is on Thursday, the First Day of Summer here in Iceland. Next weekend Steingrímur will come to stay with me and Hilda. Happy Easter !

I've been on holiday since last Friday and I've had such a good, relaxing time. The past two days I've been taking walks with my sister Steinka, her dog and Hilda. Also yesterday we went to my friend Magnea's birthday party and watched the X-Factor finals at Steinka's place. So, life is good and things will be even better on Sunday when we get to eat our Easter eggs ! MMMmmmmmm ! Happy Easter everyone !
