The good deed of the day :-)

When I was driving to Mosfellsbær to attend Aron's birthday party, I drove past a young fulmar sitting on the road (a fulmar is a large seagull with a dark nose, fýll in icelandic). I barely managed to avoid hitting it and immediately pulled over and hurried toward it to try to rescue it before some car would hit it. Young fulmars can't fly if the loose the sight of the ocean, or so I'm told. At least he wasn't even trying. He screamed at me when I approaced, but I managed to catch him and carry him to my car, where I put him in the back. Then I drove down to the ocean and released him. He was very relieved I can tell you :-) It felt really good to see him swim away, poor bastard :-)
