Such a perfect day

Finally, life outside my bedroom walls ! My sister Steingerður invited me to dinner and sent her daugther to pick me up around 2 so I could have some coffee in her garden and enjoy the all-too-rare spring sun. So, I sat in her garden, drinking nice hot coffee and eating pastries, petting the dog and thoroughly basking in the warm sun and the fresh air. Mmmmmm ! Wonderful. The afternoon was spent petting the dog, that would scratch my arms if I tried to pause for a moment :-) Matti the cat greeted me with his customary kiss and at one point lay by my head on the sofa, purring like a small machine. Dinner was, needless to say, just great. My mother came over and had dinner with us, and later my nephew Andri and his girlfriend stopped by and we all had a nice chat. My mother drove me home at 21:30 and after a gruelling climb up the stairs, I was resting in my bed again, tired but very happy. Thank you for a wonderful day Steinka & co. :-)
