A nice weekend, with a trip to Rauðhólar

Steingrímur Páll stayed with me this weekend and we had a nice time. Friday night the game club came over and we cooked dinner together and played gigantic Carcassone (see below). Steingrímur was allowed a short stay in the living room but had to go back to bed, even though he pretended not to be sleepy :-) Great evening, with the missing "link" present, Björg came from USA but then María had escaped to Ólafsfjörður ! (a tiny pin-prick of a village in N-Iceland). Hrmmmph ! Saturday was shopping day, we bought a new baby chair for Steingrímur. We had a quiet evening alone, still he wouldn't fall asleep early, even though there was no noise like the night before. On Sunday we went with my sister Steingerður and her dog to Rauðhólar, some lava formations close to Reykjavík. Freyja freaked out with joy, ran around and was totally beside herself with happiness :-) We walked around and enjoyed the scenery, and sat down every once in a while to rest. Our butts got a little wet though, it must have rained last night ! Then we went to Steinka's place and had cake and coffee. Then I headed home and had to give Steingrímur back to his parents.
