A weekend at Ólafsfjörður, at the home of the "saving-banks-managers wife's"
October 7-9th I spent with Magnea, Helga and María at María's house in Ólafsfjörður, a village in N-Iceland. Helga drove me and Magnea there in her car and we made the trip in 5 1/2 hours. María's house was easy to find, she turned on the Christmas lights :-) She had homemade pizza ready for us and after dinner we played some Carcassone (needless to say !). Despite our longing to play all night, we were really tired and went to bed a little after midnight. The next morning we were up to do some handcrafts ! María and Magnea were scrapbooking, but me and Helga made Christmas cards :-) After lunch me and Helga went swimming while María was sweating in the gym. We swam 500 m, then relaxed in the hot tub..... until the personel came out and pointed out to us that the pool was closing for the day ! The rest of the day was spent playing and crafting, and we also took a sightseeing tour through the village and the surroundings (and got the latest gossip from María). Then dinner came....MMMMMMMM We had roasted leg of lamb with the works ! It was heaven ! SLURP ! Then we spent the evening talking, playing and trying to eat our way through the TONS of candy and snack we had hoarded up in the house. Sunday it was time for good-byes (snuff), and we wowed to repeat this soon ! Thank you all for a lovely, refreshing weekend girls !!!!!
