Would you believe it's been 13 years ???

Almost 13 years ago I gave birth to my daughter. 13 years !!! Eeeek ! It seems like only yesterday ! My sister Svanhildur gave birth to her daughter Guðlaug only days earlier, on February 7th. The night before we were eating at a chinese restaurants with some family members and she managed to hide the fact that she was already in labour from all of us :-) Imagine the surprise the next morning, when a baby girl had arrived ! Guðlaug came late, past her due date, but Hilda arrived 8 days before the due date. The delivery was relatively easy by all standards, but delayed by the fact that Hilda decided to come out with her hand against her cheek. That made it considerably harder to push her out, hrmph ! When she was put into my arms I took one look and decided that she was the most beautiful baby in the world. Despite the fact that her nose was pressed to one side, her ear pressed to the head and her face askewed due to the fact that she had lain with her hand against her cheek in the womb for a long time :-) Now, almost 13 years later, she is still the most beautiful baby in the world :-) And everything is in it's right place :-) But help, my daughter is a teenager !!! Abandon all hope all ye who enter here... shiver. Heading for uncharted waters !
